Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refund requests are handled for ChatFolders Premium subscriptions. It supplements Section 4 of our Terms of Service.

2. Subscription Plans

ChatFolders offers the following paid plans:

  • Premium Monthly: $5 per month
  • Premium Annual: $50 per year

3. Case-by-Case Review

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We review each request individually, taking into account the reason for the request, the length of time since purchase, and the extent of use of Premium features.

4. Situations We Typically Consider for a Refund

  • Duplicate or accidental charges
  • Technical issues that prevent you from using Premium features and that we are unable to resolve
  • Unauthorized charges reported promptly
  • Requests submitted shortly after the initial purchase where Premium features have not been materially used

5. Situations We Typically Cannot Refund

  • Change of mind after extended use of Premium features
  • Requests made long after the billing date of the charge in question
  • Partial-period refunds for a subscription that has already been substantially used
  • Issues caused by third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok) that are outside our control

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but is not the same as a refund. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to Premium features until that period ends. If you also want a refund for the current period, please submit a refund request separately.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us through the Chrome Web Store listing or our GitHub repository. Include the following information to help us process your request:

  • The email address or account associated with the purchase
  • The approximate date of the charge
  • The plan purchased (Monthly or Annual)
  • A brief description of the reason for the request

8. Processing Time

We aim to respond to refund requests within a reasonable period after receiving the required information. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The time it takes for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your payment provider.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page. Your continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
